On Wednesday May 24th, the sun was shining brightly on our students and elementary guests from feeder schools. We welcomed the warm weather with TAB’s annual Spring Bash.
The grade 7s got to check out Blakelock High School and get a sneak peek of some of the fanTABulous clubs Blakelock has to offer. Representatives from many school clubs, teams, and organizations hosted their own booths to promote their extracurricular group to future and attending TAB students. There was also a variety of activities for all students to partake in, such as games, artistry, cultural learning, trivia, music, and food.
When asked what she enjoyed the most, an attending elementary student said, “I liked how you could do the face paint yourself.”
Other activities such as Henna art and bouncy castles allowed elementary students to get a taste of new found freedom that high school has to offer.
Students were also given the option of delicious food and ice cream trucks that were available to everyone searching for yummy treats. A grade 7 student from Ecole Pine Grove Public School said, “The ice cream truck was a 10/10! My friends also thought the food trucks were a good idea.” Many students shared this sentiment, displayed by the long lines that formed around the trucks.
With the end of the school year nearing, the Spring Bash was the break that all students needed. Blakelock hopes that everyone enjoyed their time at the Spring Bash and can’t wait for the return of this amazing annual event.
