This June, TAB is proud to celebrate Pride Month! The concept of LGBTQ+ Pride first started after the Stonewall Riots that happened in June of 1969. This was a series of riots by the gay community of New York City as the cause of many serious cases of unlawful police raids. To commemorate all of the struggles of brave members of this community, Pride is internationally recognized and celebrated, specifically in North America.
Happy Pride Month
On the first day of June, our school held a small ceremony in which the universal rainbow Pride flag was raised. Each colour of the flag has its own meaning; red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, indigo for serenity, and violet for spirit. The TAB community proudly shows our support for this inclusive celebration. Have an incredible Pride Month, Tigers!
