Indoor Shoes

Please send a pair of labelled, non-marking soled, velcro or slip-on running shoes that can be kept at school in your child’s cubby. Even if your child is able to tie his/her own shoes, velcro shoes are necessary. The children must have indoor shoes kept at school all year so mud and dirt are not tracked into the classroom.

School Attire

When you shop for clothes please remember that your child can manage large zippers and large buttons, but not buckles, ties, etc. Boots that are the pull-on variety can be put on without frustration. Laces and buckles are often difficult for a child to manage independently. Boots and splash pants should also be worn on wet or muddy days. PLEASE LABEL ALL clothing and belongings (e.g., jackets, hats, shoes, lunch bags, juice containers etc.) with your child's name.

Spare Clothing

Please send a complete set of spare clothing (including socks, underwear, shirt and pants) in a plastic ziploc bag. All items of clothing, as well as the bag, need to be labelled with your child’s name. Having a change of clothing on hand allows your child to quickly change into spare clothing in case of an accident without having to disrupt you at home or work. These clothes will be kept in your child’s cubby. Please remember to return a new set to school if they are used.

School Bag

Your child will need to bring a school bag each day to carry schoolwork, notices, library books, lunch bag, etc. A large sized backpack is needed that will be able to fit all items easily. Please check this bag each day for notes and forms that need your attention. Please make sure the school bag has a zipper so your child can open and close it easily.
