Many colleges/universities use the Common App. This is one application that you can submit to multiple colleges and universities.
If the college or university is not on the Common App, you will apply directly on their website.
Test scores need to be sent directly through your ACT or College Board (SAT) account to each college/university that you apply to.
Please note, many colleges/universities are going “test-optional”. This means you are not required to submit ACT/SAT scores. If you feel confident with your test scores, you can submit them.
All transcripts will be sent by your counselor through SchoolLinks. You must request your transcript to be sent to each college/university that you apply via SchoolLinks.
Teacher recommendation letters will also be requested and sent through SchoolLinks.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), determines eligibility for need-based grants, loans, and scholarships.
Most scholarship money will come from the college or university you attend
Make sure you are paying attention to application deadlines
Check the schools’ financial aid/scholarship sites to make sure you are applying to any scholarships or aid that you are not automatically considered for with your admission application
