In order to register a student in the Hamilton City School District, you will need to:
Pre-Enrollment: Complete and sign all forms within Final Forms. Please allow up to 30 minutes per child.
Enrollment: After Final Forms are completed, please come to the Enrollment Center (140 Ross Ave) to submit proof of residency, parent/guardian identification, court orders, and/or custody paperwork, and any additional required documentation.
Enrollment Confirmation: After Final Forms and the required documents have been reviewed and approved, the Enrollment Clerks will finalize your student(s) placement confirmation and provide you with a confirmation email about your student's new school.

Please remember that only the legal guardian can enroll a student in school.

Before you start:
Please make sure you select the correct school year for which you are enrolling your child.
If you are enrolling a child for kindergarten in the 25/26 school year, they must be 5 years of age by the first day of school (8/13/2026).
Verify you have the proper documentation to enroll. To find information regarding which documents are acceptable, please click on Forms Required for Registration.
Find your child’s assigned school. To find the school assigned to your home address, click School Directory by Address.
Preschool Registration
Preschool registration information for the 2026/2027 school year will be completed through the Butler County Educational Service Center.
The Butler County Educational Service Center is now enrolling for the new Fairwood Early Learning Center. Click here to begin the 26/27 application process!
