Update: Kindergarten Enrollment for Next School Year (2026-2027) Opens April 6, 2026
To register a KINDERGARTEN STUDENT in the Hamilton City School District, you will need to:
Complete and sign all forms electronically using Final Forms.
After Final Forms is completed, you must come to our District Enrollment Center at 140 Ross Ave. to finalize your enrollment. You must bring a hard copy of any document submitted for review. Enrollment is not finalized until after the in-person enrollment session, and all documents are received.
The following documents are required for Kindergarten registration:
Child’s Birth Certificate
Parent/Guardian Valid ID
Proof of Residency (current deed, mortgage statement, property tax bill, utility bill, closing statement, or current lease). Your child will NOT be enrolled without valid proof of residency.
Custodial Papers – If they apply (Divorce Decree with Shared Parenting Orders, Guardian/Custody Court Documentation)
Required Immunization Record signed by a doctor or clinic.

2 MMR
2 Varicella
4 Polio
3 Hepatitis B

Before you start:
If you enroll a child for kindergarten in the 26/27 school year, they must be five (5) years of age by 8/13/2026.
If your child is enrolled in Preschool through the Hamilton City School District, you do NOT need to register for kindergarten.
Verify you have the proper documentation to enroll. Please click Forms Required for Registration to find information regarding which documents are acceptable.
Find your child’s assigned school. To find the school assigned to your address, click on School Directory by Address.
