PreK at Charlotte Avenue
It is illegal in NY to pass any stopped school bus with flashing red lights, including in the Charlotte Avenue parking lot.
Be mindful of your arrival time in the parking lot when bringing your child to PreK to help avoid blocking the driveway while waiting on buses.
HCSD has been meeting the needs of early learners for more than 50 years through its PreK program.
PreK is a developmental program that creates a foundation for success throughout a child’s school years.
The 2023-2024 program is open to children in the Hamburg School District who will be four years old on or before December 1, 2023.
No cost to families who live in the Hamburg Central School District.
Maximum of 18 students in class.
Half-day sessions run from 9-11:30am and 12:30-3:00pm with bus transportation and meals provided Monday-Friday. Session placement is determined by household address.
TWO Full-Day classrooms, from 9:00-3:00pm (limited seats available) with transportation. This full-day program falls under the same New York State standards and guidelines as the half-day UPK classrooms. Breakfast and lunch are served Monday-Friday.
The program provides meals and transportation to students Monday-Friday.
Registration for the district’s PreKindergarten 2023-2024 program will open on January 17, 2023 with registrations being accepted through April 1, 2023. After April 1, 2023, only registrations for our half day program will be accepted.
Letters informing families of their placement in the full-day classroom or in a half-day session will be immediately sent via U.S. mail.
