Hamburg Central has been meeting the needs of early learners for more than 50 years through its half-day PreK classes.
PreK is a developmental program that creates a foundation for success throughout a child’s school years.
The program is open to children in the Hamburg School District who will be four years old on or before Dec. 1, 2021.
No cost to families who live in the Hamburg Central School District.
Maximum of 18 students in class.
Half-day sessions run from 9-11:30am and 12:30-3:00pm with bus transportation and meals provided Monday-Friday.
One Full-Day classroom, run in collaboration with the YMCA from 9:00-3:00pm (limited seats available) with one-way transportation. Full-day program falls under the same New York State standards and guidelines as the half-day UPK classrooms. Breakfast and lunch are served Monday-Friday.
Placement in the full day classroom is determined by digital lottery drawing on May 3, 2021. Registrations will be accepted after this date for the half-day session only, based on availability. Before and after-school extended hours available on-site at participant’s expense.
The program provides meals and transportation to students Monday-Friday (one way transportation for full-day)
Enrollment for the district’s Pre-Kindergarten (PreK) 2021-22 program at Charlotte Avenue Elementary School will open on January 19, 2021 with registrations being accepted through April 1, 2021. After April 1, 2021, only registrations for our half day program will be accepted.
