The 6th Grade Choir is a vocal music ensemble dedicated to achieving musical performance through the learning of fundamentals, teamwork, self-discipline, musical proficiency and a love of singing. The choir performs at three major concerts. Students may also elect to participate in OPUS Honor Choir (held in the Fall) or the SWICDA Honor Choir held in the Spring (both are membership by audition).
The 7/8th Grade Choir is a vocal music ensemble dedicated to achieving musical performance through the learning of fundamentals, teamwork, self-discipline, musical proficiency and a love of singing. The choir performs at all major concerts. Designed to be a music exploratory, students will experience three major units throughout their year while enrolled. In unit one, students will experience the traditional concert choir setup performed at the Fall and Winter concert. Unit two, students will experience show choir- the combination of singing and dancing during the Pops concert, and in unit three, students will experience a musical to be performed at the final concert of the year. Students may also elect to participate in OPUS Honor Choir (held in the Fall) or the SWICDA Honor Choir held in the Spring (both are membership by audition).
