The 5th Grade Choir is a vocal group designed to offer an introduction to choral singing and music literacy. Students explore key musical concepts such as rhythm, melody, and harmony while developing their skills through unison and two-part songs. They also learn to read music, including both sheet music and sight-reading, all while building strong, healthy vocal techniques. The choir performs at two major concerts as well as at an Iowa Wild game in winter. Students may also elect to participate in OPUS Honor Choir (held in the Fall) or the SWICDA Honor Choir held in the Spring (both are membership by audition). Â
