"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice.
It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved."

Readers & Writers Workshop
In this creative, fractured fairy tale project, Mrs. Floyd's 6th grade class reimagined classic stories with bold twists and fresh perspectives. Instead of following the usual endings, students turned familiar tales upside down—giving characters new motivations, surprising plot changes, and unexpected heroes. With imaginative beginnings and clever rewrites, the project highlights students’ creativity and shows how even the oldest stories can be transformed into something entirely new and empowering. Please enjoy reading this fractured Fairy Tale!

21st Century Learning
Our 6th grade students in Mrs. Floyd's 21st Century Learning Class, created digital vision boards as a way to reflect on who they are and who they hope to become. Each board is a personal collection of goals, affirmations, inspirational quotes, interests, and values that represent what matters most to them. Through this creative process, students practiced self-expression, built confidence, and set meaningful intentions for their future. These digital vision boards offer a glimpse into each student’s unique voice, dreams, and potential.
