2.5 Structures for Environmental Learning

Support Pole for a Tree- May 2019

A staff member and 2 students inserted a metal pole to support part of a tree that was damaged in the Monarch Waystation after high winds from a nearby tornado. The metal pole was put in to save the tree.

Students Using Outdoor Learning Center- Sept. - Nov.,2019

Planters Installed for Growing Vegetables and Flowers - July, 2020

The planters were built by the Boy Scouts (20). This was an Eagle Scout project. These planters replaced our old planters to grow vegetables and flowers and to enhance the grade-level garden curriculum.

Four of these new planter boxes were built to go in our outdoor learning center.

First Grade Planting in New Planters- May, 2021

2 classes of 1st graders during hybrid learning (about 20 students) planted flower seeds in the new planters.
