The Mission of the Harlingen CISD Library Services Department is to ensure that students and staff have access to a broad range of materials, whether it be print or electronic, for pleasure reading and information needs. Library Services assists students and staff in becoming ethical and effective users of information, resources, and ideas that will enable them to be lifelong learners.

Internal Resources
Monica Weaver has passionately served in education for 30 years. She currently serves HCISD as an Instructional Technology Specialist and Library Services District Lead. Her leadership experiences include serving as a Teaching and Learning Specialist, an Instructional Coach, District MIT Leadership Member, Digital Classroom Lead and NASA Explorer School Team Member. Additionally, she is a John Maxwell Team member. Her journey in education has offered her and those she serves a vast range of experiences and specialize areas of expertise to support innovative work.
