JAT BBQ Order Form 2024

HCA Jog-A-Thon 2024

Volunteer to participate here!

For many years, Hawthorne Christian Academy's annual Jog-A-Thon (JAT) has been a staple of the student experience at HCA. Every year, students and parents expectedly await this fun school-wide community event! Usually held in May each year, we gather for an exciting day of fun, food, and jogging! Why do we jog? Primarily, to raise funds for our school, as we fellowship and strengthen our school spirit while we’re at it! This event is mainly run by HCA's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF), with the help of the students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, and outside supporters. We all come together with our families and friends to support our beloved HCA community.

What can you expect? JAT preparations will start early in the school year, and parents will receive communication about the different aspects of the day a few weeks before the day of the event. Each student will be assigned a donation link to share with everyone they know to support HCA. Students can qualify based on their fundraising to receive a free JAT t-shirt. JAT t-shirts have become a tradition for all students (and many parents) to wear on JAT day, so be sure to submit your t-shirt order on time!

Who can attend? All are welcome! Watch our students run to raise funds, and invite your friends and extended families to join. While on campus, there will be food, baked goods, and other items for sale. Everyone can join in the fun while cheering our students on to complete as many laps as they can to raise as much money as they can.

How are JAT raised funds used? In a variety of ways that support our community! JAT funds have been used to award scholarships, enhance and improve facilities, and supplement PTF community programs like Homecoming, senior class and eighth-grade trips, Grandparents/Loved One's Day, end-of-year pizza parties, and more!
