• Students learn library terminology, procedures, book selection skills, and proper library behavior.

• Read-a-loud time: various fiction, nonfiction and poetry books are enjoyed and listening and comprehension skills are reinforced.

• Special events: Book Fair, Read Across America (Dr. Seuss' Birthday), Summer Reading Program, 100 Books in 100 Days Challenge (preschool-1st grade), and various reading contests throughout the school year (2nd-5th grade).
