Geometric Abstract

Inspired by the Geometric Abstract movement and works of Russian artist Sonia Delauney, students explored the Elements of line, shape, and color. Sonia created paintings full of geometric shapes with overlapping circles and lines, creating the feeling of rhythm, motion and depth. The artist felt the movement of the paintings had musical-like qualities as well.
