This 40th anniversary Spring meeting is an in-person meeting. You must be registered to attend in-person.
Chairs can facilitate online participation by sending the link for their session to icc@hbsc.org by the 1st of May. Colleagues can join online where links are available on the programme (if joining online only, please do not register).

Walking tour
Walking tour
Prepare to embark on a journey through Kaunas with the assistance of an experienced local guide. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear as you explore this fascinating city. During the tour, you will learn about the rich history of Kaunas Castle, strategically situated at the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris rivers. Constructed in the 14th century, the castle played a crucial role in defending against the incursions of crusaders.
The tour will also provide an opportunity to visit the Church of St. George, a remarkable testament to Gothic architecture. Despite multiple reconstructions following wars and fires, the church has managed to retain its original Gothic style. As one of five churches built between 1495 and 1510, it stands as an integral part of Lithuania's national architectural heritage.
Furthermore, you will traverse Vilnius Street, the city's oldest thoroughfare, which once served as a vital medieval route to Vilnius. As you walk along this storied path, you will be immersed in the captivating tales and unforgettable "Kaunastic" experiences that have shaped Kaunas over the centuries.
