Film Camp (Summer Film Production) is an immersive visual storytelling experience where students learn the art and craft of filmmaking, from story development and cinematography to editing, production design, and sound design. Participants create original short films using professional cameras, equipment, and industry-standard software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Toon Boom Harmony, and Blender. Each year, students develop new stories and projects, which keeps the experience fresh and rewarding for both first-time and returning students.
Select student films will be showcased at the HBA Arts & Film Festival (HBAAFF) in the spring and may also be submitted to the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) or other festivals and contests.
