SAT
The SAT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in Reading, Writing and Language, and Math.
How the SAT Is Structured
The College Board will continue to offer the Paper SAT format through the fall of 2023. Starting in the Spring of 2024, they will transition to the new Digital format. See the comparison between both formats below.
What is Staying the Same
Content Tested
The digital SAT aims to test the same skills that are assessed in the traditional SAT. The skills tested are comparable for both exams.
Sections
The digital SAT has sections that will test the same content that is found on the traditional SAT. The math section will include both multiple-choice and free-response questions similar to the traditional SAT. The Reading and Writing sections from the traditional SAT are combined into two modules, yet they will test the same content as the traditional SAT like mentioned above.
Scoring
Although the time given to take each section will vary from the traditional SAT, both exams are graded on the same scale (400-1600).

Getting Fee Waiver Benefits
There are 3 ways to get your fee waiver benefits:
If you completed the SAT Fee Waiver Request Form and your request was approved, your benefits will be available in your My SAT account.
If your counselor gave you a 12-digit fee waiver code, you can enter your code on your My SAT account and your fee waiver benefits will automatically appear.
You can also input your fee waiver code when you register for the SAT. After your registration is complete, you will see your full set of fee waiver benefits online and will automatically have access to all the benefits. You won't need to enter this code again.
If you've been marked as eligible by your school, you can accept fee waiver benefits on your My SAT homepage by completing the instructions below.
Sign into your College Board account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one.
From your profile, click My SAT. If you've used your College Board account only for the SAT, you might go straight to the My SAT page.
On the My SAT page, accept your fee waiver. If you've been marked as eligible by your school, review the terms of the eligibility prompt, then click Continue. If you have a 12-digit fee waiver code, enter it and then click Submit.
