Remote Learning
Students will participate in learning activities throughout the day, much like a regular in-person school day. The student schedules will follow the normal start and end times and include all of the core subjects (Math, Reading/Writing, Science, and Social Studies) and many of the electives (Art, Music, Physical Education, PLTW etc.). School and grade-specific schedules will be communicated by the building principals and teachers. The schedules below represent elementary, junior high, and high school schedules. All other schools will send information about the remote learning schedule prior to the start of the school year. Edison, Webster, Advantage, and all other schools will receive information about schedule from the building administrator.
To ensure a smooth transition between remote instruction and "in-person" instruction, student schedules will be very similar. This approach will provide consistency for students, families, and teachers to minimize the impact of moving between different learning environments.
During remote learning, students are expected to participate fully in all Zoom live teaching sessions and engage through out the day to complete the lesson activities and the other teacher and learning experiences outlined by the teacher. Attendance will be taken daily in all classes and all assignments and activities will be graded. Essentially, the only difference is the location!
