Hays CISD is a 1-1 device district.
Only students that have opted for a device through the registration process will be allowed to check out a device.
Students in grades PK-1st grade can check out an iPad through the home campus.
Students in grades 2nd - 12th grade can check out a Chromebook through the home campus.
Parents and students can purchase the device protection plan to cover some of the cost for lost and broken devices.
Protection plans cover district devices for one school year. A new protection plan must be purchased each school year.
The protection plan purchased during the 2023-24 school year will run out on Aug 12, 2023. Any claims made before Aug 12, 2023, will go against the 2023-24 protection plan. Any claims made after that date will require a 2024-25 protection plan.
Protection plans must be purchased within 60 days from the first day of the new school year OR 60 days from the enrollment date.
