Leigh Academy Tonbridge is committed to its extracurricular programme which runs throughout the week at lunchtime and after school. This is a non-curriculum provision of activities where students are given a safe environment to challenge themselves, feel success, and be given the opportunity to ‘enrich’ their lives by finding out more about their interests and passions, as well as discover new pursuits.
Typical clubs include Cookery, Football, Board Games, Computer coding, Basketball, Cookery, Debating society, Music, Drama, Dungeons and Dragons, Rugby and Arts and Crafts.
We also offer the older students (Years 9 onwards) the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which offers young people a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities.
