Extracurricular

Leigh Academy Tonbridge is committed to its enrichment programme that runs every Thursday between 3.15 - 4.15pm for all years. This is a non-curriculum provision where students are given a safe environment to challenge themselves, feel success, and be given the opportunity to ‘enrich’ their lives by finding out more about their interests and passions, as well as discover new pursuits.

Whilst attending Enrichment, which is compulsory, our students are able to elect their preferred activity with students across various year groups, that enhances friendships and social skills. Each module over 20 wide ranging activities are offered to students, some examples include: cookery, football, lego club, computer coding, tinker club and badminton.

We also offer the older students (Years 9 and 10) the opportunity to participate in the Combined Cadets Force (CCF) and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which offers young people a broad range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational activities.
