Brightwheel is the app we use for communication and invoicing! This is a required app and website that all guardians must sign up for upon registration. Downloading the app on your phone allows you to send and receive messages regarding your child(ren). All reports and notes about your child(ren) will be located through this app. Program payments are also made through the app or online through Brightwheel.
How to setup your account:
Create a free brightwheel account at registration. When you follow the registration link on the BASE/FITS website, new families will be prompted to create a free parent account. If you need to create an account after registration is closed, contact the director.
Create and confirm your child’s profile. You will see your child’s profile after you create an account - you can confirm information such as birthday, allergies, and additional contacts. If you do not see your child’s profile, please contact us with the email address or phone number you used to sign up. You will not see updates within Brightwheel until we start to use it regularly.
Set your account preferences. You can adjust your notification preferences within your profile settings on the app.
Add your payment information. Brightwheel offers secure, automated online payments that saves time for us and gives you advanced tools and reporting. Please add your payment information.
Medical Needs/Emergencies: Brightwheel is able to keep track of medical needs like allergies and medications, as well as allow us to notify you when there is an incident or your child is administered medication.
Behavior Reports: the notes feature of brightwheel will allow us to notify you of any behavioral issues that may occur throughout the day, as well as the "Kudos" feature which allows us to notify you when there is exceptional behavior.
Incident Reports: Brightwheel allows for us to use these reports when it comes to injuries that may occur while in our care. While having Brightwheel notifications on these reports will be notified to you right away through your device. If the injury is severe we will call you as well to notify you of the situation. Communication: the brightwheel app will be the main form of communication between the program and parents throughout the day. All staff will be able to see messages sent on your child's profile and all staff will have the ability to message you as well. This is the feature we will use for check out and check in arrival times, informational updates, last minute schedule changes, and so much more.
Billing: Brightwheel is how the BASE/FITS program will handle all payments and billing.
