Completion Coordinator
AmeriCorps Member
Feb 2026 - May/August 2026
15 hours per week for 20 weeks
$3,708 living allowance
($370 paid twice each month)
$1,565.08 education award at the end of the term of service
Serve as a coach to students navigating milestones and resources needed to complete college.
Help to create a system of support that helps students navigate their college experience.
Help students develop accountability and encourage them to fully engage with and access resources and learning opportunities on campus.
Follow up with students regularly to check in on their progress, offer support, tutoring and ensure success.
Share advice, mentoring, and even friendship with students to help guide them to college graduation.

Summer Service - May 2026 thru Aug 2026
25 hours per week for 12 weeks
$3,708 living allowance
($618 paid twice each month)
$1565.08 education award at the end of the term of service
Help students access the services they need to be successful in and out of the classroom.
Meet students one on one to understand their needs and to help them feel supported.
Increase access to food pantry services on campus by increasing the number of pantry locations and volunteers engaged.
Assist with the recruitment, training, and/or management of community volunteers for service projects, such as community clean-ups, food drives, recycling drives, etc.
Child Development Specialist

September 2025 - May 2026
20 hours per week for 36 weeks
$8,343 living allowance
($490 paid twice each month)
$2,817.14 education award at the end of the term of service
Serve in the Child Development Center at the Adult Learning Center in downtown Waterloo.
Conduct age-appropriate lessons and activities to meet children's needs developmentally.
Support the Child Development Center's philosophy to maintain a high-quality education program.
Prepare food for scheduled meals and curricular activities for children of various ages.
Maintain accurate and consistent data tracking.

$3,708 living allowance
($463 paid twice each month)
$1,565.08 education award at the end of the term of service
Learn construction trades and introductory skills.
Get certified through National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and complete a community service project, gaining hands-on experience and improving our community by building and/or rehabilitating low-income housing.
Gain leadership and professional experience with access to employers.
Help underserved students get involved by providing mentoring and outreach about the WE Build program.
