The Global Learning Leading Diploma (GLLD) is an opportunity that is unique for Havergal students who see themselves as emerging global leaders. Open to students in the Senior School, successful applicants take part in knowledge-building modules, skills development and learning experiences that support the development of an active global citizen. Designed as a student-centred learning journey, this program celebrates and honours our social innovators: those who seek to become ethical and responsible global citizens, characterized by their appreciation and engagements in a diverse, culturally-connected world.
This is an application-based program for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12. Students apply through the Forum for Change to enter into the GLLD program. Once accepted, students are partnered with a mentor, who will support and guide the student learning journey across academic, co-curricular and extracurricular programming. The mentor also works with students to deeply reflect on their learning modules and support the final project process in grade 12. Each participant’s journey will include four key interconnected components:
