Welcome to our overview of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award!

Havergal is an official Award Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global program that empowers young people to learn, grow and discover their potential by making a difference in their community. We support students in both the enrolment process and submission of required information. While we do not offer Duke of Edinburgh specific programming, we provide support for students in seeking and designing experiences.

Interested in the The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award?

Follow these steps to start your Journey!

Review the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to ensure this program is the right fit for you (must be minimum 14 years old to register)
Register an account on the Online Record Book (ORB), please use your Havergal email
A Parent/Guardian must email Ms. Courtney Pickering confirming they are aware their child is registering for the Duke of Ed program and that they accept the $130 registration fee that will be billed to their child's student account
Your registration will be approved. Get started today!

Adventurous Journey - HC Excursion:

Each year Havergal partners with Leaders of the Day to offer up a Bronze Adventurous Journey to Algonquin Park in June/July.

The date of the excursion may vary from year to year and is contingent on registrations. The excursion spans 4 days and 3 nights. A sample itinerary from a previous year can be found HERE.

If you are unable to attend, we recommend exploring the Duke of Ed's Registered Activity Providers who offer additional opportunities throughout the year.
