Using a screwdriver and hot glue, I created a laptop by disassembling and upcycling a monitor. During this process, I learned how to reverse engineer and upcycle a monitor. The class's seven standards are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I learned how to upcycle a monitor. A challenge I overcame on this project was making the monitor stand up without the stand. I was able to do it by hot glueing it to a box. Given a chance to do this again, I would change what device I took apart. The reason why I would change it is because it.
