Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I need cardboard.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan on making a cardboard shield.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will have a star on the front.
I created a Captain America shield using cardboard because I think that Captain America is kinda cool. Also, I am good at making cardboard shields at home and that's why I made a Captain America shield.
During this process, I learned how to make a shield. I used hot glue, duct tape, and cardboard.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational
Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to Knowledge Constructor because I used the iPad to go on YouTube and look up "better ways to use hot glue." And that's why my project is tied to the class standard"Knowledge Constructor".
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting cut badly. I was able to do it by dealing with it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. The reason why I would change it is because it's too small so my arm barely fits in it. and whenever I would bend my arm it would pinch me. And that's why I would change the size of my Captain America shield.

My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in engineering because I created a Captain America shield from scratch.
