7P6 - Merge Cube

Using the Merge Cube, I created a 6 scene story about a mermaid. I did this because I wanted to be creative and put design and features. We decided the mermaid because also it would be a good story about a couple doing anything for their love.

During this process, I learned how to program the story i made on the real merge cube. I also learned you see what you designed on the merge cube by camera, not in real life.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because i had to set personal learning goals and agree to disagree with my partner to get the story done.

A challenge I overcame on this project was putting the actual story on the merge cube. I was able to do it by getting a little extra help I was scared to ask for.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way i came about not knowing what to do and ask questions instead of saying "I don't know what to do." The reason why I would change it is because It takes a lot of time that we don't have to argue, and just ask a simple question to the teacher.

This project connect to careers in coding games kids can play on merge cubes. It also can connect in engineering and coming up with where certain things would go on whatever your deciding to do.

Story:

There one was a mermaid named Ariel, she was happily married to Donald Trump and lived in a waterfall. One day her husband came out to listen to her sing, like always, but she was gone. This was very unlikely of her to do disappear like this, so he went with his group of dolphins to go find her. He kept searching until he was stopped by a magical seahorse, “There is trouble,”the seahorse said, “A scary fish had taken her, you need to find her now!” He pointed her in the direction the scary fish had gone and that’s when he saw his mermaid wife, while the scary fish left to go get his machine to take Ariel’s powers, Donald grabbed his wife and jumped onto the dolphin. They rode to their new sand house in the beautiful-est spot in the ocean, had a baby, and lived happily ever after.
