I will need batteries, a micro bit, and a computer.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan on using about 7-9days on this project. I plan on spending most of my time using the micro bit coding.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be able to turn on based on sunlight or darkness, it will also be able to turn on if you shake it. It will also make noise.
Daily Log
day1: I made my name micro bit piece were it shows my name.
day2: Started to make a beating heart.
day3. put the beating heart on the micro bit and starting to make a sad face into a smiley face. Finished the sad face smiley face.
day4: started the silly face and finished it and started taking pictures and I made a shinning sun.
day5: Was not here.
Day 6: Making sure had everything.
Day 7: Started writing my reflection.

Using Micro Bit, I created 4 different projects because I wanted to express things about my self that relate to me in a certain way using micro bit. For example I'm really good at drawing hearts and i think there really cool so i programmed a beating one. I also programmed a beating sun cause I love the warmth.
During this process, I learned that there are many different kinds of things you can make using micro bit. I also learned that using a micro bit isn't as hard as it actually sounds. I also learned how to put your micro bit code onto a actual micro bit. I did this by getting help from other classmates and YouTube videos.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had to think about a lot of different things to make and create. It also ties to global collaborator because all of my work was spreaded across the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Coding problems and them not working the way I wanted them to. I was able to do it by watching different videos on how to code it or ways different people did it. Another thing i overcame was how to put it on a micro bit from the website.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of projects I did to make them a little bit harder to challenge my self. The reason why I would change it is because it would make my website look more professional. I also would do a song because i love listening to music and i thought it would be really awesome.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programing CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in strategic partners director in micro bit.
