Day2. We got the Makey Makey to work ad tried out some games, with aluminum foil for buttons.

Here you can see the Makey Makey controlling the game. For the buttons we use play doh. You can see my friends left hand on some aluminum foil, that opens and closes the circuit, so when you touch the foil while touching the buttons it will send a signal to the computer and tell it what button you pushed.

Relfection

Using the Makey Makey, I created a very small controller because it was the project.
During this process, I learned how cool and useful technology is.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner, digital citizen and global collaborator. I am a empowered learner because I learned in a fun way on how electricity works. I am a digital citizen because I had to use a circuit board as well as a computer. I'm a global collaborator because I posted the project on my website that any one in the word could see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Getting to work right away instead of fooling around. I was able to do it by focusing.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change nothing. The reason why I would change it is because I think I nailed this project.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.
