8th Grade Innovation and Design Quarter One Reflection:
I enjoyed this class, but I did have some difficulties in the beginning. In Quarter 1, I did a variety of things that helped me learn how to do it, or what I can do to help in actual situations. Out of four projects, my favorite project is project four. In project 4, me and Olivia code a sphero to complete a maze using coding. It was a bit challenging at first because we had to find a very close flat ground, and the maze was made from cardboard. We were able to code this sphero to complete a maze. My least favorite project was project 2. In project 2, I made the Washington Monument in Minecraft. I didn't like this because it wasn't as fun as I thought, and was a little hard to do because I had to made the thing with an agent. The problem I had with this class was that I made silly mistakes, like not changing the share settings on a picture, or on the wrong video/picture. This lead me to missing work and a bad grade, but I fixed these things and are starting to have a good grade, but need to fix somethings in order to have a good grade.
I had to do 4 projects to do in the first quarter. For my first project, I did the 3D print of king and queen chess pieces. It wasn't easy to do because I had to change the height, and the size. The most difficult part to this project to print it out the right size, not too small. For my 2nd project, I made the Washington Monument in Minecraft. I didn't like the project because it was just plain boring. Another reason why I didn't like this project because it took too long to do, and was really easy to make. For my 3rd project, me and Olivia made a Star Wars game with BLOXELS. I liked this project because you were able to create something and were able to have ideas on how your game should go. And for my 4th project, me and Olivia coded a sphero to complete a cardboard maze. It was a little difficult because the sphero had to be adjusted everytime. Other than the difficult challenges, I really enjoy this class.
