7P2 cardboard challenge

DAY 1. we made this sub page and came up with 10 good ideas.

DAY 2.we started making the mask and umbrella

DAY 3.we started to make the body

DAY 4. we glued the umbrella to its tube

DAY 5. we grabbed our stuff and then had to put it back because we didn't have enough time

DAY 6.we finished it and took a video

Using cardboard, hot glue, paper, paint, and a stick My group and I created a Korok from Legends of Zelda. We made this because we like Koroks and think they are cute. We also really liked the woodland theme for our project.

During this process I learned how to make a rounded figure out of cardboard. I learned how to get hot glue to stick to cardboard better. I also learned how to attach cardboard to rounded cardboard.

My project ties to Innovative Designer because My group and I created something from scratch without having a blueprint. This project also ties to Empowered Learner because My group and I were able to set daily goals of what we wanted to get done with our Korok every day and assess whether or not we were achieving those goals. Our project also ties to Global Collaborator becuse we created something to share with the world and put it on a website.

A challenge we overcame on this process was the glue not sticking to the cardboard. We needed to overcome this challenge because if we didn't, the Korok would not have been able to be rounded. We overcame it by taking off the excess glue around where we were gluing as it wouldn't stick as well to the glue. I also had to hold my finger down on the cardboard longer.

Given a chance to do this again I would change our time management. I would change this because, even though we got the project done in time, we were stressed for time. We also didn't get to add as many details as we hoped.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program. It connects to it in that we created something from scratch, that is engineering and designing. My project connects to careers in Packaging Engineer, Automatic Cardboard Folding Machine Design and Sr. Paper Engineer.
