Project Description
Our cardboard creation is a red/brown Weiner dog named Sparky. His body is made out of 2 peanut containers. The head is made out of a pop tart box. The ears are made out of cardboard so are the wheels. Legs are made out of toilet paper rolls. His face is made out of clay.
What I learned
What I learned is you can make a lot of things out of cardboard. Also, you might need two coats of paint. You have to put an end on your axel so the wheels don't roll off.
Description Of the Standards Our project Used
The standards that we used while building our project are Global collaborators and Empowered Learner. We were Global collaborators while we were putting information on our websites. We were Empowered Learners when we were focused when we were creating our project and while listening to instructions.
A challenge we overcame
We overcame a lot of challenges. One challenge we overcame is we couldn't get the wooden dowels through the legs and wheels. So we had scissors and we made bigger holes.
Something we would do differently was...
Make sure the legs and wheels touched the ground so it would roll better than it does now. We could have made the ears more sturdy so it wouldn't bend.
A CTE and Career Connection Our project Ties to is...
Engineering and design, because engineering is basically creating and designing a rolling dog. A career our project ties to is toy robot dog designer/engineer. We think this because they design a toy that looks like a robot and a dog, that can also roll. Our creation fits those standards.
