• Using the Circuit Playground Express, I embarked on creating several different projects with the goal of developing a variety of useful and practical applications. I was excited by the possibilities that this versatile platform offered, and I wanted to experiment with different ideas to see how I could integrate technology into everyday life. Each project allowed me to learn more about electronics and programming.

• Throughout this process, I learned how to code the Circuit Playground Express, which was both a challenging and rewarding experience. As I worked with the platform, I gained hands-on experience in programming, discovering how to write and implement code to control various features of the device. I became familiar with the unique capabilities of the Circuit Playground Express, including its sensors and LEDs, and I learned how to utilize them effectively in my projects. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects most closely with the standard of Knowledge Constructor, as I gained new skills and understanding while learning how to code a Circuit Playground Express. 

• One challenge I overcame during this project was coding my Hot Potato game. At first, it was difficult to figure out how to get everything to work correctly, but I was able to complete it by following a tutorial, which helped me understand the steps and successfully finish the code. 

• If I had the chance to do this project again, I would change the number of projects I created. I only completed five projects, and I think doing more would have helped me learn even more and improve my skills further.

• Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program offers a variety of pathways, including agriculture, business management, computer programming, construction trades, culinary arts, digital multimedia, engineering design, finance, insurance, and marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program because it involves coding and developing skills related to computer programming. 

• My project connects to careers in computer coding because I worked on programming a mini-computer. This hands-on experience helped me understand the basics of coding and gave me a glimpse into what a career in this field might involve.
