I'm working by myself.
I'll need my computer, and possibly my ipad
My plan is to work for five days, design my own sprites, and code a project.
My project will have my own designs in it instead of the default they give me in the app.
Day 1 - I made a list of ten good ideas.
Day 2 - I created a new progect and started making my sprites.
Day 3 - I started figuring out what each code does to the sprite.
Day 4 - continued coding my sprites so they didn't contradict each other.
Day 5 -I took a video and uploaded it to my website, plus I finished the questions at the end
Using the website "Scratch", I created a short project about an alien race in space because I wanted to make something original and creative.
During this process, I learned how to use the Website Scratch, how to create my own drawing sprites, how to code the sprites to do what i wanted them to, and lastly how to screen record and upload my project to my website.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because While making this project I used my own original designs not based off of anything I know of, and had a purpose or story in my project .
A challenge I overcame on this project was That the Scratch Website was down on my computer. I was able overcome the challenge by using my ipad instead and editing on that device. Another challenge I overcame was that i had no idea how to get the finished project onto my website because every time I downloaded it it, the file would be unavailable. So instead I recorded the project on my ipad and saved it to my google drive.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of my project (Time) I created through coding words into my sprites. The reason why I would change it is because I want more coding experience with this specific website.
