PLANNING QUESTIONS:
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I'm working by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need my computer and my ipad
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to do as much as I can per day and then work on details at the end
What unique qualities will your project have?
My project will have my own design from scratch such as the racks on the tops and bottom along with the hooks on each side.
Day 1: First i made a new subpage on my website and thought about what i wanted to make with 3D print that would be an upgrade fromn my previous 3d print. After I decided I answered my planning questions
Day 2: I made a new project on tinkercad and then began designing my jewelry stand with a basic model.
Day 3: First i added a top to the jewelry stand and decided on stars at the end of the hooks. After that I changed the base to make it more stable.
Day 4: I changed the bottom to be more stable so it wont tip over. I also took away the stars from the ends. Plus finally I made a holder for rings and other things at the top and bottom.
Day 5: I added final details to the 3d print and began to answer my reflection questions at the bottom of the website page.
(FINAL DESIGN AFTER CHANGED)
Day 6: I took pictures of my finished projects and removed the extra filament from the side and the open spaces. After that I finished answering the reflection questions and took a final video
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
Using my computer and the website tinkercad, I created a stand for my rings, necklaces, and bracelets. I made this because I wanted a neat way to orginize the jewelry that I throw on my dresser and shelves.
During this process, I learned how to tilt the shapes and move them upward to stack them together. I also learned how to use the 3d printing machine to create the project I designed.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the standard Knowledge constructer because through the process I'm learnning new things in the website and how to change shape, size, and angle.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to use a 3d printer. I was able to do it by asking someone near me for help to use it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change The size of the jewelrey stand so its bigger than it is now. The reason why I would change it is because the stand I made won't be able to hold as much jewelrey as I wanted it to.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Construction trades CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Construction Trades because while making the jewelrey stand on my computer I had to convert the measurements in cm to inches. Then when I was done I realised that the project would be way too small and had to redo all of the measurements.
