Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working with a team. Maritza, Arianna, and me.
What materials will you need for your project?
We need Cardboard, hot glue, duck tap, scissors.
What is your plan to create in this project?
We are planning to do corn whole, and if time a mini golf.
What unique qualities will your project have?
The corn whole is Hastings theme.
today we made lists of things we can make out of card board. I am exited for this project.
Today we decided what we are gonna build. My group decided to do corn whole so we started on that.
Today we finished the cornhole and started coloring it. We also started making the beanbags.
Today we finished the bean bags and corn whole all together. We started our mini golf. it has been so fun so far.
Today we got pretty close to finishing our mini golf. We colored it and made a windmill.
Today we are making our finishing touches on our mini golf. Also to fill time we started making a mini Plino booard.
Today we added out finishing touches to the mini golf and made our movie for the project. This project is super fun.
Today we made out video. We had all of our pictures so we made a recap video.
Using card board, hot glue, scissors and more, I created a mini corn whole and a mini mini golf, because we had the tools and we wanted to have some fun games to play. We wanted to have games that others can play and have fun.
During this process, I learned that hot glue hurts when it gets on you and that card board scissors work REALLY well. Also that team work is important. I say that because if we all didn't communicate the project wouldn't have worked. But we had a great time.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to a computational thinker, because we had to think about what we were gonna make and how we were gonna do it. That was sort of a lot of work.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the right materials, and making our ideas happen. I was able to do it by working with my group and trying when we failed. Also when on the first day we shared the card board scissors with other groups.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what we made. The reason why I would change it is because if we make the same thing it wouldn't be as exiting the second time doing it. So I would make something more cool and bigger.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. I say this because we created it and designed it.
My project connects to careers in architecting ways because we made\designed our project. Architects design and make things and stuff in houses. So for the past week I have been an architect. Being and Architect is fun.
