I used iMovie and Google Photos to create a movie about the things I like. I think it’s better to look at the things you enjoy instead of the things you don’t. Making this movie was a fun way to focus on the positive.
During this process, I learned that I could find more interesting sound effects. I also discovered different types of music that made my movie more engaging. Adding these sounds and music made the project more fun and creative. .
he seven standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects to the Digital Citizen standard because I created a video about things I like instead of focusing on things I dislike. This shows that I am staying positive and using technology in a respectful way.
A challenge I overcame in this project was finding new sounds and filters. I solved this by asking for help when I needed it. In the end, I found sounds that made me smile and laugh, which improved my video.
Given the chance to do this project again, I would change the number of photos and the amount of time I put into it. I realized I could have added more pictures to make the video stronger. I also could have used better sounds to improve the overall quality.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers classes in Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program. This is because I created a video using iMovie and Google Photos, which are tools used in digital multimedia.
My project connects to careers in web design and many others. These careers all use digital multimedia skills to create and share content. By making my video, I practiced some of the same skills used in those careers.
