Using a Circus Playground Express, I created a Christmas light "pew pew" project to celebrate the upcoming holiday season. During this process, I discovered that downloading code onto the Circus Playground Express is much easier than on the Micro
. This project aligns with the "Innovative Designer" standard from our class because it required careful planning, learning, and designing to bring the idea to life. The experience also highlights the importance of creativity and problem-solving as part of the seven class standards: Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. To complete my project, I asked my friend for help, which was a valuable part of the process. Given the chance to do it again, I would change the noise it made because it turned out to be quite annoying. This project ties to the Computer Programming Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offered at Hastings High School, which provides opportunities in fields like Agriculture, Business Management, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project specifically connects to careers in computer programming because it involved coding on the computer to make the Circus Playground Express function effectively.
