Are you working by yourself or with a team? for this project I worked by myself
What materials will you need for your project? computer
What is your plan to create in this project? to make a ST. Patties day decoration
What unique qualities will your project have? font
This is the design.
Using the laser cutter, I created a ST. Patties day sign because my parents like ST. Patties day and they don't really have that many decorations.
During this process, I learned that the video has to be a MOV file to upload and watch.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had to think about what to design and make it using a computer.
A challenge I overcame on this project was holes to hang it up. I was able to do it by glueing a piece of bail string to the back of it (is going to be done in the future).
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of it. The reason why I would change it is because it was a little bit too small but not that big of a deal.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in a sign manufacturer.
This is the final product.
