Dash
Our code
Cole and I made the Dash drive really fast, then turn around and come back really fast.
I learned how to make the Dash move around and that you can change the speed of the Dash. I also learned how to move his head. I also learned how to make it make noises like a elephant trumpet and a car horn. I learned that you can manually make the Dash do something by using the steering wheel, or other buttons, or you can put code in, and make it do it while you just sit and watch.
I was supposed to make something do something with coding. I got the Dash and used code to go fast then turn around and come back. I was an empowered learner because I set personal learning goals and demonstrated the ability to choose, use, and troubleshoot current technology.
I overcame our wheels being different speeds. One was really fast and the other was just fast. We had to slide the bar up higher because when we first moved the bar up, it didn't make it all the way up to the top, so we had to go back and slide up the bar to the very top because the Dash was going slightly sideways.
I would make it do something else because it wasn't very creative or fun. I would make it go around the room or ride up a ramp or something. Maybe do something with the sounds, like make it elephant trumpet when it gets to a certain spot, or make it honk when it runs into something.
I could be a web developer and code different sites and web pages. They use java script to program the sites, which is like a smarter version of the coding that we use for the robots and the other coding things we do in class.
