Using makey makey, I created a game controller because i wanted a game controller not the keyboard.
During this process, I learned how makey makey works.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learners because I learned how to use the makey makey in steps.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the makey makey not activating. I was able to do it by connecting myself to Earth.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the controller to be less wire-covered. The reason why I would change it is because it makes the controller harder to use.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering and design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in electrical design because I learned about the earth and how to create a current using the earth.
