What unique qualities will your project have?

Different button combinations will make different faces.

Using a micro bit, I created a smiley face because I thought that it would be a fun thing to do.
During this process, I learned how to put a code on a different device.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I thought about what I was going to do and I designed it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to download the code to the micro bit. I was able to do it by asking my friend for help and then I understood how to do it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how basic of a design I did. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like I could do a less basic design.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Michigan CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Innovative Design because I thought about how and what I was going to design and I got to work and created it.

Day 1

Made my list of 10 good ideas and answered the planning questions

Day 2

Created my name tag and did my reflection questions. I uploaded the video of my name to my website.

Day 3

I coded a smiley face and made sure it worked by downloading the code to the mirco bit.

Day 4

I coded the next face which is a sad face. The sad face shows up when B is pressed.

Day 5

I worked on my reflection more then continued to mess around with my code to see what I liked more.

Day 6

I coded the last face, a bored face , to show up when both A and B are pressed. I fixed my code for the smiley face to show up when A is pressed. I then uploaded my final project video and the code to my website.
