My Story plan:

Part 1

People start a race

Part 2

They Are racing

Part 3

they gets the cops chasing them

Part 4

They see cones up ahead

Part 5

The racers crash into the cones

They police arrest them and they go to jail.

What materials will you need for your project?

I will need an ipad, mergecube

What is your plan to create in this project?

I will plan to use my mergecube and cospaces to create a funny story using the mergecube and cospaces.

What unique qualities will your project have?

It will have a different part of the story on each part of the mergecube, so you can turn it to see the story.

Day 1

I made my list of 10 ideas and my planning questions. I also looked at other peoples creations for this project. Im very exited to do this project and see what is looks like in the real world

Day 2

I started on the 1st part of my mergecube. This 1st part is someone starting a race for the vehicles. They are going to see who is faster. Im not sure how to change the color of the cube, but I'll look into that tomorrow

Day 3

I finished the 1st part of my story, I also made parts 2, 3 and worked on part 4. I figured out how to animate the people and how to make them speak. This will add more detail to my story. I also figured out how to change the color of the cube.

Day 4

Today finished my part 4 and I started on the 5th part of my story. I've not finished it yet but im almost their. I may try to animate a pizza tomorrow. I know it sounds silly but ill will have a part in the story,

Day 5

I worked on the final part for my story. I still need to add more detail to some of my sides, but is looking really good. I forgot to animate a pizza so I might do that tomorrow.

Day 6

Today i worked on the pizza mascot for my store. I couldn't find a good 3d model so I tried my best to make my own. Im so close to being finished, but I just need to record the video.

Day 7

Today I made my video for this project. I recoded the video using an iPad, and then I used iMovie to add a voice over to narrorate the story. I also made my reflections. This project was really fun to do and I would do it again!

This is the video of my Augmented Reality Mergecube story.

Using a MERGECBE,CoSpaces, My Computer and my Ipad, I created an augmented reality story that you can view in the real world. I created this because some stories in books can be boring, but this one is very entertaining. I also created it because I wanted to create a cool story that can be enjoyed by viewers of all ages.
During this process, I learned how to animate characters to look like their walking or running. I also learned how to make the characters in my story speak. This feature will add more detail to my story, and you can better understand what's happening.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because they can build a story using a visual programming interface. A Computational Thinker can also use technology tools to create models, which I had to do with my story.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the models being too big I was able to do it by using the scale tool to scale them down. I also had trouble not finding a good pizza mascot modle. I was able to fix this by using the block shape and coloring them to make it look like a pizza. I then used a text box to make a smile to put it on the pizza.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of text bubbles uses. The reason why I would change it is because the text cramps the space and you cant really see the actual story.I may also change the pizza mascot I used. I wasn't able to find a good one so I had to make my own. It worked out but itsn't the best.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in AR Developing because they create AR applications. I did this with my mergecube to make my story. AR Developers also improves AR applications, which I did with my mergecube story to make it better and add More detail to the story. They also A overlay digital information onto the real world, which I had to do to be able to see what my story looked like in the real world.
I really enjoyed this project, I learned lots of things while doing this project, like how to make cars look like they are moving. This was an awesome Project!
