IMG_0043.MOVUsing a drone, a controller, a ipad, and my computer, I created coded drones because it looked difficult and fun.
During this process, I learned how to code the drone and how to fly it on the controller.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the global collaborator because I'm sharing this project with the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out why the drones didn't do what they were programmed to do. I was able to do it by finding out that it the drones are too close together they don't want to do the things they're supposed to.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the coding. The reason why I would change it is because I want to try new ways to program it.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in computer programming because I used my computer to code/program a drone.
