These are my codes and videos of our sphero sparks going through mazes and a square
Using the Sphero Education app on the tablets, I created a code to make robots go around in a maze and a square because we had to make a code to learn how to do this for later careers. Also we did it so we could learn how to code robots because in the future we might have to learn how to do that.
During this process, I learned how to make the sphero spark turn you do roll and then choose the angle you want it to turn towards. I learned how to do this from Porter's group because we thought it was spin because we didn't see the angle choice at first on the roll coding block.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator and empowered learner because I first was creative communicator because I had to communicate with my partner to share ideas. The other one because I learned something new .
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make it turn on the maze. I was able to do it by asking someone for help. This was challenging to finish my project without asking because otherwise me and Logan could not find out how to do it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how hard the maze was. The reason why I would change it is because then I would end up learning more of how to code. Also it would make it a longer process and I turned it in early but that's still ok.
This project connect to careers in coding robots in factory's to do stuff. This is just like programming a robot in a factory because you have to code the robot to do exact cuts and stuff so it would need to be coded instead of someone operating it.
