Using the sphero mini, me and Howard created a obstacle course using mini bowling pins and a mini charger. We created this because we did not just want to code it on the ground, we wanted to code it to go through a course on different things. During this process I learned that you can't just have the correct code and top speed. You need it at a certain speed so it does no go out of the course and hit everything over. This project connects to careers in coding because you have to code and figure out what to put for the code to make it move.
The 7 standards of the class are empowerd learner, digital citizen, knowledge constructor, innovative designer, computational thinker, creative communicator, and global collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because me and Howard would talk together about how far and and fast it had to go. A challenge I overcame on this project was that every time the hour was over we put up a sign that said do not touch but every time we came into the room it was destroyed. I was able to overcome this by when we were done for the day we would hide the whole thing so nobody could see it. Given a chance to do this again, I would change it and make it go longer and more complex. The reason why i would change it is because our project we just did was a little short and slow and i want it to be longer and more fast.
