25. Mini Ping-Pong Table
I am working alone.
All I needed for this project was TinkerCad and an idea.
My plan for this project was to make a similar replica of my ping-pong table at my house.
Some unique qualities my project has are not many people (if any) made a ping- pong table and that it is similar to mine.
During this process, I learned how to design a ping-pong table. I also learned how to group things in Tinkercad. And finally, I learned how to use Tinkercad over all.
Using TinkerCad, I created a mini ping-pong table. I created a Mini Ping-Pong Table because my family and I have had a lot of fun playing ping-pong. I also wanted to know if it was possible to play on that small of a table.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the table come off the ground. I was able to do it by grabbing a different part of the table and moving it up. It was hard to figure out how to group thing but when I asked my friend he immediately knew what to do.
Something I would do differently would be to make the net thicker. I would do this because the net didn't print. I would also do this because It would look cooler with a net and not just like a table.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I designed something that others didn't and I think it's pretty cool.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to Engineering Design because I engineered a thought out design through TinkerCad.
From using TinkerCad, I can make a career in Designing toys. I can make a career in designing toys because that is literally what I did, I made a toy. I could also make toys because I had fun making my ping pong table and you need a job that you like to do.
Step One: First, I started with making the table, I had trouble moving it of the ground, but then I got it.
Step Two: Then, I made the legs for the table to hold it up.
Step 3: Finally, I added the net to the middle of the table.
The Final Design has a net.
The Final Print doesn't have a net because it was too thin.
