4 Planning Questions

I am working by myself.

All I need for this project is me and MicroBits.

I didn't really have a plan for this project, I just wanted to figure out what to do and have some fun with it.

Some unique qualities my project will be that it will have something funny in it, and it will have my own little twist.

• Using MicroBits , I created my name to slide across the screen. I also made a number of sound to sound off because I though that that would be cool. I also though that I could make texting but that didn't work.

• During this process, I learned how to use MicroBits. I also learned how to code it and type in it. And finally, I learned how to make sounds with it- Oh, and I made the sound come from the computer to the MicroBits.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I collaborated with other people during my project. Although text anyone , I did email my friends.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make the computer to transmit the sound to the MicroBit. I was able to do it by downloading the sound through the computer through files to the MicroBit. While I was trying to transmit the sound to the MicroBit, I had to ask a lot of questions and then I finally got it.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change there to be sound. The reason why I would change it is because my MicroBit is sorta' boring. If I added sound to this then I really think that it would spice things up and make it cooler, and not as boring.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in programming a TV because while I was making my project I had to code my MicroBit, this kind of coding is like programming a TV because they both have lights that blink and light up.
