Using Scratch programming, I created 8P6 because I wanted to advance on something from a lower level. During this process, I learned that making an advancement on something gives you new ideas and new perspective's on different things. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set a goal for myself and I made 8P6 as a strategy to achieve my goal.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out what coding went on what sprite. I was able to do it by using a video created by griffpatch as a guideline. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the maze from 2D to 3D. The reason why I would change it is because it would take more knowledge to know all the different coding technique's. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in programming because 8P6 takes different kinds of coding to make things work together to create a game, etc.
